@guerrero1963 are you implying Bobby was the reason for her fall from grace? If so, that myth needs to disappear already. As angelic and perfect as Whitneys voice was, her and Bobby were 2 peas in a pod that hurt each other. Let’s remember her greatness without the revisionism

this isn’t meant to be an acapella performance… it’s just the voice and back tracking for the original recording sans the music.

just angelic…..wow. sure, it’s also “produced” and we hear the verb, the multi-tracking of her voice to create ‘Thickness”, all that….but, ………..dear god, she possessed such a monumental talent and voice. hard not to tear up listening to this……..it’s SOOOO Powerful. and in fact, almost has a bigger, more moving effect, just her by herself here, than with the music track that originally accompanied it. Lol! pure heaven . R.I.P miss. Houston…sing it girl…

WOW!!!!! One of my favorite Whitney Houston songs. I don’t know what else to say. Just listen to her vocals. She was a force of nature. You can’t say that about many artists today. Just a few.

A capella means without accompaniment, so yes, without background music means a capella. And he didn’t do this version, it’s the official studio acapella from the anniversary re-release of Whitney’s debut album.
